Elixir Dance Competition

Your new favourite dance competition 🖤
Elixir is an all new, parent run, fun focused dance competition. 
The sole focus is to provide a platform for dancers to feel supported and confident, whilst having fun and  developing their dance journey. 
Awards are presented to all dancers regardless of their placing to ensure everyone is recognised for their amazing talent and efforts. 
Elixir is a modern dance comp, with solo classes in jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, hiphop and self choreography. We also offer a range of impromptu classes, where the emphasis really is on having fun! 
Elixir’s mission is to provide an encouraging, safe and fun space for everyone in their time at a competition event.

Regional Fees 

All prices are charged in NZD and GST inclusive. 

Registration fee of $30 per dancer or group. 

$25 per solo

$15 per impromptu 

$30 per duo/trio 

$35 Championship 

$45 per troupe routine

 

Afterpay is available on all entries through the Comp World app! 

 

 

Competition Rules:

Age: 

Age taken as at first day of competition. 

 

Awards:

All trophies belong to Elixir Dance Competition and must be returned, engraved, in time for the following years competition - clean and undamaged - if not the competitor will be invoiced to replace. 

Champs:

Any style goes. Anyone can enter & can be a repeat dance. No teachers or parents side stage. 

 

Impromptus:

All impromptus will be one on stage at a time style. Competitors will be asked to wait in a designated spot backstage until their turn. No teachers or parents side stage. 

 

Redance:

All competitors may re-dance but will not be eligible to place in the class. 

Eligibility:

Open to all amateur dancers. Must not be taught by adductor within a year of the competition. Classes may be combined or split based on the entries.  

Music:

Maximum of 3min per dance; music must be age appropriate. 

Etiquette:

There is to be no communication with the adjudicator by competitors or their families or teachers  before or during the competition. Please support each other and cheer on everyone. You may film your own child only. Photos taken at Elixir by Elixir may be posted on social media - please inform staff if you would not like to be included. 

Placings:

There is no shared placings. Awards will be 1st, 2nd. 3rd, 4th, 5th - with all remaining receiving a Well Done. 

 

Open Classes:

Open classes will be taught on stage - the audience will be closed for the class & parents/teachers invited in to watch at the end. The teacher will award one child with a special prize after showcase.
